Weber River 02-12-2011
Who wouldn't want to get out and fish with the warm winter weather we had this weekend? I, for one, wasn't gonna stay indoors. I headed to the lower Weber River to test out a few new fly patterns I tied up during the week. The trout is always the judge as to whether or not a pattern works.
I got rewarded with an 18" brown right off the start.
A little while later, with the same size 16 tan scud, a couple of 17 inchers followed.
An hour later and a bit of water covered, I finally got another brown. This would end up being a 16" brown caught with a blue copper john.
I ended my day with that trout. I walked away from that river with a huge smile on my face and memories. All of these great fish were released to fight another day and put a grin on another persons face. Tight lines everyone.

Nice Fish ! The Weber looks like it is flowing at winter levels now. I need to get out and use my new rod that I got last summer. I think that I have only caught a couple of fish with it so far.
