Trip to Ketchikan
Heading to Ketchikan for a couple of days in July for my 40th birthday. Any ideas on what NOT to miss? Only a couple of days before going to Craig for halibut and salmon fishing, so not much time. Thinking of contacting a Couchsurfer in the area to stay with, but we've never STAYED with anyone before, only hosted.

My recommendation is pack Chere' in your suit case. She will bring Captain Morgan with her.

Take a quick trip into Sitka and check out the view. As has been said already, the fishing can't be beat. Last time I was there, I had more fun trying to keep my fish (from the eagles, sharks, and sea-lions).
