X-Country Ski Trek
Been doing allot of x-country skiing this winter. THE USFS grooms 3 tracks up AF Canyon, of which 2 are for x-country skiing only, Little Mill campground and Granite Flats campground. They also groom the closed Alpine Loop Rd. for snowmobiles but it's also a blast to ski. X-country skiing is a killer full-body workout and I can run up to Little Mill after work and get in a few miles during the week.
Here's a couple of videos from Saturday's trek with kanyonkris. We ski'd up the Alpine Loop Rd, then out on the Timpooneke Rd. to the face of Timp. 15.5 miles with 3,000' vertical elevation gain. Awesome day!Are we there yet?

Kanyon Kris and I x-country ski'd up the road from Tibble Fork Reservoir to Silver Lake Flat, Saturday. 8 miles round trip with 1500' vertical climbing. I little windy at the lake but never got cold. Great workout. Saw a couple of snowmobiles and a couple of guys on snowshoes, but other than that, had the place to ourselves.
