The coolest domestic flight into Vegas I ever took flew over Canyonlands N.P. you could see upheaval dome from the plane it was awesome!

I read this article awhile back which seems to suggest there is new evidence strongly supporting the impact crater theory.

I'm not much of a Geologist, but I can't see the Salt Dome creating the entire crater. It would make sense if it was just the upheaval in the center.
I can't believe that in modern times, Geologist can't pin point the method of creation.
Lots of out of place jagged rocks in the center of the upheaval as well.

I can see a salt dome creating a crater that large. Hell, it's pretty small compared to Salt Valley & Paradox Valley...
