I asked for a Double Boiler so I could melt chocolate easier and it got translated into a Fondu set. Oh, and a coat with gloves.

I got to read on FB this morning .... all 3 teen girls saying something like...

"My life is perfect!!!! I love MY life!!!

And 2 have bf's that spent the day with us that said the same. To be fair, the middle one Summer posted that phrase several days ago, and the rest followed sometime in the middle of the night last night. Do you know how hard it is to make teen girls that happy. lol Now that's a Christmas present to have 3 such happy girls and it has nothing to do with presents - we give very few and opt more for handmade things!

......And to read how some of these kids that live here in this tiny town cried when their grandma's opened their presents and how they love giving and helping neighbors. My house has been like a bakery with kids making things for neighbors and friends. Summer, my cheerleader, made cookies for the boys and girls basketball teams all early one day before school. (her 2 sister both start on the bball team) This is crazy since these kids have to be at cheer and basketball practice 5 days a week at 5am and it was a rare day off and she got up and baked. We don't live in a fancy house, or have any desire to keep up with the Jones', (not that there are any in town - unless you count Tom Jones lol) but what we have here in this small town is irreplaceable!

Christmas Day - For dinner, I planned on 15 adults, then it turned to 20, then 30. By the time the night was over there was at least 10 more!!!

That was a lot of dishes!!!! The girls kept bringing home strays. They go to the Senior Citizen Center and cook for the people there often throughout the year too, so they know a lot of the older people in town too that they love to do things for.

Tanya sounds like you have some incredible girls.

I received cash to buy the three of us ski passes and my sister in law bought me a gorgeous bike jersey to go with my new road bike.

But the best present of all was spending time with family! We miss them all so much.

They say it takes a Village to raise a kid. In small towns like this it is actually true. The town raises the kids in so many ways. My kids are not even religious but they are well taken care of and loved in this small community! On the other-hand, when I moved here my oldest son was 12. He did not grow up here so he was sort of an outcast. The "Villiage" did not help raise him at all. Now however, he coaches judo, wrestling and the younger boys basketball while his wife works at the school and does a lot of community things.... So.... it took a while, but he fits in now. His 4 kids did grow up here and are very much part of the community. It was hard for him to accept this place. We had been training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for many years and competing on the national and international level for Judo. He did wrestling as well, then he came here to 1A sports after we were hit by a diesel leaving the World Trials. This world was a shock to us and we to them. lol

The core is a nice looking watch. Is it the orange and black theme?
