    Light painting some rock art with long exposures.



    Here are some pics of my light painting experiments. Looks much better when viewed larger from the actual Flickr account.

    Yep. 25 seconds at f/6.3. ISO at 6400.

    Looks great. What did you use to paint it? Looks like fire light.

    A good old Maglight. But, I shined it on the ground so the light bounced up at it. Then a quick flash on the art itself. Gotta do more of this stuff so I can get really good.

    Did you have to tweak the temperature in post to get the light to look warmer or is that all from bouncing it?

    That rock is very warm by itself, but the flashlight has a pretty warm temp too. That panel is kind of orange-ish. I increased contrast and did warm the overall image with the color balance tool just a bit.
