    Where to?

So my ATV is in the shop for maintenance and I'm eager to get out. Where are decent spots to get in some shoeing this weekend?

I am not a big fan of the Wasatch and prefer areas where there won't be too many people.

Ideally within an hour of the SL valley.

    Thanks.

Yes, with the amount of snow in the West desert, I was able to get up Mill Canyon, just north of Eureka. Snow depth is 2+ feet and the views are excellent.

Green Ponds trailhead just beneath Snowbasin. Or the Coldwater Canyon overlook trail in Snowbasin's lower parking lot. Those should both have plenty of snow. Coldwater is the higher one though.

I did a 5 mile loop on snowshoes up South Fork Yellow Creek today. The views were great from the top of the hills in that area. Worth trying if the snow stays.
