Thread: Gorging - New Documentary

  1. #41
Hey guys. My name is Brian – I’m the producer of ‘Gorging.’ I wanted to thank you for your interest in the film project.

I was going to mention that we recently moved our website – but seems someone has already found it. As mentioned, the new site will be GorgingMovie.com. And of course, we’ll be updating the facebook page regularly with photos, news and other stuff. For now the webpage is the same as before, and features the original teaser, but we’ll post a new one soon.

As you can tell, the project is running behind schedule. The trailer still advertises a ‘summer 2011’ release, which needs an update soon. We’ve been shooting all summer, accumulating some really great footage with Kelsey, Rich, Dennis and Steve. Having just returned home from a recent trip to Cedar City, I’m hoping to phase out filming for a while so we can begin editing. No doubt there will be more to film, but until then we’ll spend the next few months in the edit room. I’m not sure when this film will be finished – I’m reluctant to make another guestimate – but I’ll know more soon.

If anyone is interested - and with permission from the Bogley managers - I’d like to check in here again to provide updates and keep an open line of communication with some of you. Working on this film has been a total adventure and has already surpassed my expectations. I’ll be very excited to share it when it’s complete.

    Thanks again.

Btw – Skylinerider – I thought your Zion presentation was excellent. You are definitely not ‘uninteresting.’

Thanks Brian, I'm gonna tell my wife that. She always zones out when I start talking land use ethics.

Looks like it will be an interesting film.

I recognized The Black Hole of White Canyon, anyone else recognize any of the canyons?

Dave C – thanks for finding our premiere info…

For those who didn’t find us on facebook, the world premiere of ‘Gorging’ is happening in SLC at Brewviews Cinema, on Thursday, June 27th.

For more info – and tickets – please go to our website - http://gorgingmovie.com/screenings/

The folks who were in the film (the heroes) as well as the filmmakers will be in attendance with a Q&A following the film.

Also, there’s a chance to win gear from Petzl and Imlay Canyon Gear during a raffle at the end of the night.
Hope some of you can make it out the event.
