hard for me to use the words scary and climbing wall in the same sentence. seems like an oxymoron.
But if I agreed with you, we would both be wrong.

I've climbed a few times, years ago, at Upper Limits in Bloomington Illinois. There outdoor wall is 110 feet. Nutty. Not very tall compared to a bunch of outdoor type climbing, but, it does seem super exposed when you're on it.

The old grain silos are pretty tall too, and, kinda nutty to climbing in. They also have a more modern overhanging area too. Neat gym. I believe they ice 'er down some winters for ice climbing too. That'd be crazy.Last edited by Brian in SLC; 11-03-2010 at 04:12 PM. Reason: grammer

I like that you have to commit in order to clip the next bolt. Bolt under feet and still reaching a bit. Definitely under your feet if you clip at your waste. Sweet, sweet endurance.
