    trachyte/swett confluence

    also, anyone know what this confluence is like ? is down swett, up trachyte any sort of problem ?

    No problems, especially with the low lake level. Certainly nothing technical. I've done a couple of extended backpacks in the area combining swett, trachyte and other side canyons. Definitely one of my favorite places. Solitude is guaranteed.

    Definitely no technical problems around the junction. I was there earlier this year and the lake level was about a 1/2 mile below the confluence. I came down Trachyte so I can't speak to what is up Swett - I only went up to the falls.
