Nebo Summit at Midnight - Pano

So the other night I hiked to Nebo's summit, and took a pano at around midnight.

Technically, it's not my best panorama - there are a few images that are blurry in it due to camera shake (due to crazy high winds). Overall, I still think it's pretty cool.

Nebo at night has quite a view - and people who have a good knowledge of the area (meaning... not me) might even be able to identify what all the different clusters of lights are.

I have some more info on it on the article at my blog...

That is just killer! Despite the little bit of blur, it's a stunning image. With the way everything's lit by the moon, and the lights in the towns, and the stars shining, it's awesome.

Yeah... After the fact it's easy for me to be annoyed for not chimping more and catching the ones that were blurry and reshooting them while I was up there - but then I think back and remember how friggin cold that wind was and how I could hardly even move my fingers and I realize... yeah... I'll take what I got :)

Glad you like it - at least it gives a good impression of what Nebo summit is like at night... They were all 8 second exposures at iso 6400 and the panohead. I've been to the south peak of Nebo before in the day, and the view at night is better I think... now... the view while you are hiking is much better in the day so I guess it's a tradeoff.

That is a nice shot, when moving around in the pano it does look like the stars are twinkling
