    Computer Nerd Stuff

What is an ad worth on a webpage that averages 20,000 unique hits a month worth? Say a banner ad at the top of the page similar to what is on Bogley? Which is targeted to a very specific audience.

I know some of you are in the industry and might have an idea about rates. And I'm not interested in google ads. The only one that makes money with google ads is google...

I was told by one reputable person that $250 for 10,000 hits is a fair price to pay for advertising. Sound about right?

Are you talking impressions or actual clicks?

    20k unique visitors?

I'm a big fan of the affiliate advertising, google never made much for me. With affiliate programs you get commission on the products people buy through the links, usually between 5-10% depending on the seller. AND you are allowed to encourage your visitors to click on those links and buy products through them. I do very well will this system, very well. I'm setup with Amazon, REI, Sierra Trading post and a couple others.

I wondered what the spike was from April to July 2010, when it jumped from 2000+ unique visitors to 7000+ unique visitors...?

Now you are talking greek to me.....

This is actual people that visit the website. If a person visits the website 10 times they are only counted once. How much is a banner ad across the top of the home page worth?

If you are getting 20,000 people and only 1% click the ad you are still talking 2000 people.

Dont care what mine is worth, just how many rooms it sells. My stats say I get about 20,000 visitors a month. Are these per month or per year? I am bummed if I only get that many unique ones per year.
