Central Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah
Spent most of our time (1,574 miles) in Idaho. Beautiful country with the mountains and rivers. AWESOME! We left Friday morning and got back Sunday afternoon. I will let the pictures do the talking.
Following the map:
Day 1 - SLC to Kooskia, ID = 700 miles
Day 2 - Kooskia, ID to Idaho Falls, ID = 500 miles
Day 3 - Idaho Falls, ID to SLC = 350 miles
Salmon, ID
Lolo, MT
WIN!

The only hotel in Kooskia, ID

Palisades Reservoir, WY
3 days and 1,574 miles worth of bugs.

Looks like it was a great trip. I fish the South Fork of the Snake River about 3 times a year which flows out of Palisades Lake. That is pretty country. I bet that you hit most of the bugs just North of Idaho Falls area and around Dillon, Mt. Now that I am making the drive to Helena, Mt twice a week, I am noticing a lot bugs in those areas.
