Very close Michael, it is at the entrance of the wash (name it) on the other side of the dirt road.

No, I didn't Michael, I was just camping nearby and I left this area early in the morning.

Let's take this out of state for a bit. Not in Mexico.

No, but you're in the right state.

I'll need the range and aspect. Bonus points for the trail from which the picture was taken.

    Sorry, not the Superstitions.

These may or may not help. The elevation should at least rule out ranges like the Superstitions. Century plants only grow above certain elevations in Arizona.

The name of the peak itself will also be acceptable, without the aspect.

You have the peak correct! It's actually the other side of the mountain. The east face doesn't drop so precipitously. This shows the west face, taken from Chilson Spring / Camp. Technically this is the Brody Seep Trail, but I would have taken the Mazatzal Divide trail as well.

By the way, don't trust any of the springs in this area unless perhaps you're in a wet spring or winter. An 18-mile hike with no water the last eight is no fun, especially in August.

The second picture is from the Barnhardt Trail looking down Barnhardt Canyon.

Denali, do you have experience in this area?
