It's the Alpine Ridge. Somewhere near White Baldy perhaps?
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

Well, only one choice left, gotta name it I guess! Still west of the thunders, and you are correct, east of Lone Peak. That happens to be Lone Peak in the background of the photo.

In the spirit of the season, I thought I would put this one up of me hiking in the fall. Name this hike in the Wasatch.

From the background, I am going to guess Grandeur, but I am thinking I am too far west...

Dang, I had almost forgotten about this thread.
Anyway, my guess for the new photo is Thayne Peak.Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

10-03-2011, 06:26 PM #1016Not on a peak, this is a trail up that canyon.
Since I think it is Thayne Peak as viewed from the northeast, I would have to go for near White Fir Pass from the photo was taken. Perhaps the Bowman Fork Trail (or the very nearby Elbow Fork to Terraces trail)?
My initial though was the trail to Lambs Canyon Pass, but Thayne Peak looks too close.Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

Name the mountain.
In many ways, this could be a hard one to identify since not many climb it, but in one way identifying it is going to be quite easy, provided one is old enough.Utah is a very special and unique place.
