Dang, I'm stumped. I don't think there is a 4X4 road around Moab that I haven't been on many times, but I don't recall ever seeing this feature.

It appears to be Wingate that has been weathered.

With the winter sun, I would guess this is looking west or northwest.

    How 'bout Gold Bar Rim?

Now you are too far North. I have you all turned around! This is actually taken early in the morning and facing South. The hardest part of the 4x4 road is behind us with the easier section in front of us.

Thought Gold Bar Tower too, but it isn't.
What's about south of the river?
    Behind the Rocks/Hidden Valley area?

Yes, hiked up Pritchett to check out Pritchett Arch and was surprised to see this tower. It is called Last Arrow Spire.

There is a good clue hidden in this one

I see something hanging from a tree and the area looks a bit like the southern Appalachians to me, but beyond that I have no idea

  19. #2477
Looks like the New River in VA or WV. Have no idea what's hanging in the tree...

    Sandstone, be more specific.
The clue is also not hanging in a tree, it's behind the trees.

I'm more familiar with the the New River in Virginia where it runs through Radford and Pearisburg.

Although I have driven over the New River on the I-64 bridge and while I don't see the bridge itself...I can't imagine the mountains being that big anywhere other than through the gorge. So I'm guessing that it's a pic of the New River Gorge in West Virginia in the springtime.

I can't get any more specific than that though...

The bridge is actually hiding in the trees. You're up
