The first time I'd seen them was last year, we took that trail in June. Not sure why the ramps were bolted to the rock, kinda took a lot of the fun away...

That's a pretty good memory after 10 years!

Pretty sure I know this one from one of your videos but I'll wait and see if anyone else actually knows it before I offer my guess...

How long have those ramps been there?
Since 1930 or the early 1930's. They were probably built by the Tidwells and it is assumed that it was built from parts from the abandoned oil well from Phillips Petroleum (the well was abandoned in 1929).

I recognise the newest photo, but I'm leaving for Thanksgiving weekend so will let someone else answer and post a photo.
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

Hmm... two that know, but no official guessess yet.

I thought this picture would pair nicely with another recent photo in this thread (let's see if that brings out any guesses from those waiting in the wings.)

Sure looks like Happy looking towards the DD from above the narrows. Maybe?

You got it. Same point in bg as your shot -- just from a completely different angle.

    Have at it.

    How about Chicken Corners?

  11. #1150
Dang that was easy - although you posted the Kane Creek pic so obviously you've been to the area. Yep Chicken Corners off the end of the Lockhart Basin Road looking at Pyramid Butte.

    Next!

Yea, after being introduced to the Jeep Safari in '91, spent many a weekend 4-wheeling, motorcycle/atv riding and hiking all over that country. Still have many places that I have yet to see.

OK, let's try someplace a bit greener.

    Name the lake:

    You got it--perfect!

I first saw this lake while looking for Garrett Bardsley years ago and have since hiked back in with my boys to catch some fine cutts.

    OK Nick, you're up.

  15. #1154
I got skunked when I fished it last year. Didn't stay for long though.

Here's another mountain shot. Name the pass, the drainage or one of the lakes.

Looks like the top of Bald mountain in the very back, so after looking on a map since I haven't been to this spot I am gonna say that is Cuberant Lake on the top.

Correct range but this is further east.

    Is it Fox-Quent Pass?

Nope, not Four Lake or Atwood. This is west of Atwood and east of Four Lakes.
