Thread: Where is it? (Poor mans version)

  1. #1661
Thought so. A few years ago after touring the Mayflower Mill the oldtimer was pointing it out to us while telling us about the restoration. I've been wanting to go back and see it ever since.

Backside of Timp from somewhere near Silver Lake Flat.
Just where is it I could find bear, beaver, and other critters worth cash money when skint?

That's actually not a bad hike. Did you go up top to the old reservoir?

No, I stuck to the canyon rim and turned around when I got to the top. I didn't venture north at all; I definitely need to get back up there and check it out some day.

This one may require a little research and guessing, or maybe not.

Dang, that was a shot in the dark! I haven't been there since I was a Boy Scout playing on our homemade kayaks for a week.

    OK, taking this south...

Old rail pits from just off the Pony Express trail in Tooolee country.
Bout half way between Faust and the HWY by 5mile wreckreation.
Or better still 7.3 miles west of Wild Bill Canyon for us old folks?
Find that one on a map I dare you.

OR just plain west of manning for the rest of us.

I'm most likely wrong but I have not been up there since the early 70's and have know Idea but it is just a guess.
If you want to ride let's ride and if you want an attitude well we just need to do some more ridding.
Life is good and life is fare.

    Good guess, but not correct.

A whole lot more south and east than Tooolee.

In fact, it's about 45 minutes from Green River, the Utah town.

I'll add some more clues if that doesn't do it.
