Thread: Where is it? (Poor mans version)

  1. #2881
As things have gone quiet here, I thought I should name the canyon and post another easier one. It was Sidestep Canyon - a fairly short side canyon shown in the last photo, where if you keep walking up the bottom, you follow a wash that leads you into that slot.
I think the other photo I nearly posted instead of Sidestep should be much easier to guess.

That was a tough one to guess. But that was good. Hard doesn't mean bad.

I have an idea on this one but am going to check my photo albumz...

Looks like a darn London sewer to me!

I'd be tempted to say Pine Creek.

Not GSENM or Zion. But it's not a remote canyon - it's easy to get to it's entrance. A couple of vertical shots

    It's between Blanding and Hite

    Fry Canyon.

Has to be...otherwise I'd say Long, but you have to hike up a ways to get to scenery like this.
Cheesebox requires hiking, too. I'd be impressed if you hiked to the narrows of Gravel.

    I'll stick with Fry.
Suddenly my feet are feet of mud
    It all goes slo-mo
    I don't know why I am crying
    Am I suspended in Gaffa?

Yay. Well done @twotimer Cerys swam through the brown muddy water and I was going to say she thought a flash flood was coming when a car roared over the bridge, but that would have been too easy a clue

Now you've still not escaped putting a picture up! You should have given the San Rafael answer after all

I was taking off on a vacation, otherwise I would have. That flash flood/car noise would have been a dirty trick!

It's been a long time since I was there, but that looks like it might be the little slot along the wall of the Grand Alcove in the Right Fork of North Creek?

Sorry, I thought this was an easy one. It's in the North Wash.

Since no one went, I'll post another to get things going again.
