nope. clue time. think tributary of the grand canyon. this spring has a specific name.
But if I agreed with you, we would both be wrong.

@Byron no i was on a 4 day solo loop from the rim above scotty's hollow, down scotty"s hollow and up kanab creek, then out flipoff and up to the rim again, then a walk back south to the car.
i am leaving on a grand trip monday. 25 days on the river. hopefully i will hike up to the slide of sussurus on the trip. But if I agreed with you, we would both be wrong.

Yeah, if you're lucky, you'll pull into the beach at Kanab and run up there real quick...it's about a half hour hike (moving quickly) up from the river...when you get to that side canyon, make sure you go ALL THE WAY IN...the very end is where the Shangri La is. It'll be about an hour and a half trip there and back, at least. Beg and plead to make it happen, as it's awesome.

To anyone that can guess this place...I'll be very, very impressed. It's a remote, obscure canyon, to say the least. If no one comes close in short order, I'll post up some clues. My avatar is from the same place...

Yes, and...no. I'll put it this way, sometimes it's in the Rec area, sometimes it's not. Chew on that for a while. This canyon does have a name.

Does the GCNRA boundary change with the level of the lake on the Navajo Nation?
If not, how could it "sometimes" be in or out?
