couple of random thoughts for venting:
lol...everyone is furious with the A.G. of Utah (shurtliff) for asking the DoJ for a probe into the BCS. Sure, it's probably not the best time for tax-money to be spent...
But come on....a playoff system WOULD be better than the current system. And people complaining about "come on Utah, but on your big boy pants and play harder teams". They have been!! Do people forget how to play rated teams go? Utah can't just decide to play Auburn, Alabama, TCU, Seminoles, etc...and behold they get their wishes granted. That's why the BCS is screwy. A playoff system would better-allow these underdog teams to only then "put on their big boy pants".
But they did put on their big boy pants and beat 'bama....so what's all the "big boy pants" talk about anyways? I'm getting confused.●Canyoneering 'Canyon Conditions' @ www.candition.com

TCU 20 - 0 utes. TCU dominating at the end of the first.

The Utes got dominated on both sides of the ball. Ugly game.
Boy is TCU good...very few mistakes.

That game was not what I expected. The Utes had a soft schedule to start the season, but I didn't think TCU would be that much better.

Ahhhh, someone forgot their big boy pants.....
I did not underestimate TCU in this game but I, along with everyone else, overestimated the Utes. TCU is a very VERY good football team.Life is Good

Maybe Utah should try some trick plays.

FWIW: That play is known as "Wrong Ball" and has been deemed illegal. Search Youtube and you will find a couple dozen clips of the play. Or search the web for several dozen heated arguments on why it is/is not legal....
The NFHS (the group that actually writes the rules) has reviewed this play and determined it to be illegal. Unfortunately some refs have incorrectly allowed this play to be used.

The game in two weeks is now looking a bit more competative. What is going on in Ute land anyway? I expected to see a fired up Ute team against Notre Dame. Yikes.

Ouch! this is a big hit to Utah football....
Football career for Utah's Shakerin comes to an end
SALT LAKE CITY - Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham announced today at his weekly press conference that the football career of junior running back and former Alta high school standout Sausan Shakerin has come to an end after suffering another concussion. Shakerin got hurt on the opening kickoff of the second half in Utah's 28-3 loss to Notre Dame.
"Sausan Shakerin is the big one," Whittingham said when adressing the team's injury report. "He has been medically disqualified from continuing his football career after multiple concussions. We were looking forward to him as the heir apparent, but that is a big change in plans."

What happened? Man was that ugly. In other news, SDSU put up 35 on TCU. Utah might be on a 3 game skid when they meet the TDS.
Are you now picking the Cougs to beat the Yewts this year Card?

Well of course. That is what a good fan does. I am not putting any money on the game if that answers your question.
My real thought is that almost without exception when the Utes and Cougs play, you throw out the records and anything can happen. But with this years team, I thought the Cougs wouldn't have a chance. But after the past few weeks, they seem to have found some consistency and points on both sides of the ball. Yes, I know that the schools that BYU is beating aren't the best but at least the Cougs are scoring points and the defense has also improved by leaps and bounds since the Utah State game. So with all that said, it seems like this will be a typical Utah/BYU game where anything could happen.Life is Good
