Loco about the Crazy mountains in Montana
It's light a long time in Montana, so I agreed to start the 3-hr drive to the Big Timber Falls trailhead at 4pm. We (husband, 23 y.o. son & I) hit the trail at 7:30pm for a 3 night adventure to Blue Lake & maybe to Pear Lake. We crashed at the 1st pond cz we couldn't see & were starving at 11:30pm. Good thing we waited for sunlight to pack up to Blue Lake cz we didn't have a trail to our peninsula-campsite.
This is my new "happy place" in the sweet smelling Lupines, constant waterfall crashes, & dapple light on clear Blue Lake. It was idyllic.
My son's friend joined us & we all climbed up a large granite waterfall to find Pear Lake. It was steep with snow fields to a saddle towards Pear Lake. Hubby & I frolicked in the wildflowers back down to camp as the guys plowed through a valley of snow & rock determined to find Pear Lake. They saw it with towering walls to scale down to its shore line and needed ropes to get there.
We saw only one old bear scat but found plenty of mosquitoes. The nights were cool but the days were warm. My son fly-fished & caught a few rainbow trout.
When my mind is in chaos, I shall return to the Crazy Mountains in Montana.

Looks like my kind of place. Montana is on the bucket list for sure. Nice shot with the flowers.

Very cool. I love Montana and wish I had more time to explore it. I have had a few great fishing trips to Montana.
