sweet pic. That looks tough! Two L96's or something similar. Bad ass helmet.

Two wheels are better than four, keep the rubber side down.

Probably a gunner, not a pilot, but yeah; bad ass helmet.

Reminds me of this from the new Predators movie.

They are the M240G I believe. The (G) may be wrong but they are 240s for sure. Shoot the 7.62 NATO round.

It is the M240B MG. I have fixed many of them. It is the replacement for the M60 MG and the pilot would not be carrying them I would put money on the fact that he would be a aerial gunner. I would expect to see the pilot in a nomex not ABU's also. Look in the eyes you can see the helo in the background. But it does look cool..

I stand corrected on the 240B. Hard for me to tell with out seeing the butt plate. Snccoulter is right though. The pilot is probably a captain or major and they sure as hell aren't doing any heavy lifting. Your also right that he would be in nomex....usually. I personally hated the nomex suits. (cvc's) I'd wear my cammies over that stuff any day. Yea, it might melt onto my flesh but thats just one of the risks I was willing to take. The bird looks to be a blackhawk. I could be wrong. I prefer to keep my firepower on the ground.
