    How Southern Utah Works

This morning we went to Zion to do Pine Cr. There were no permit's available and I didn't want to drag my beginner friend through anything much harder. So we headed to Wahweap(Stateline actually) Rented a boat and went up to West canyon, drove in as far as we dare(and I dare a lot in a rental with the motor trimmed way up) Then we went back, turned in the boat, hit a good Mexican joint in Page and I'm home a little after 10:00.
Did I mention some of us live in a pretty cool area?

F my life. (Some days I hate reading TR's, I'm going to end up in therapy to deal with my jealous rage before my buddy whose wife cheated on him. (too soon?))

    Looking forward to pics!

Don your therapy expenses should include time off to go through a canyon, cost of food, gas and misc supplies (ie beer). Oldno7 said! Go for it!

Headed to West Canyon this weekend. A buddy of mine claims he has found the coolest slot hike around. So while down there boating we are going to check it out. We spent a lot of time last fall looking for it. He had hiked up it years ago but we couldn't find it. Says there is a serious pot hole right at the start and then it gets awes. We'll see.
    Yea Utah sucks.

Like the song and like the video. Thanks for sharing!

I love Utah!!!! My friends always are talking about how they need to get out of Utah that this place is holding them back. Fact is we have 4 amazing seasons of the year. You live up every season and just when your getting tired of it, another one comes. AMAZING

I'm totally not jealous or anything. I have London where they, er, make soot.

    An' stuff.

Wow! Love that song and video! I've got to have that song to help ease the pain until I can get back to Utah...

I keep meaning to add comments to this thread, but haven't, so I'll add them all at once:
    1. Like the phots, Kurt! Nothing like a little appreciation for a fine, cold, refreshing malted beverage.

    2. The video was great - though I'm no longer a skier (damn knee...) it was entirely full of win.

    3. Here in Vancouver, we don't make soot. Just rust. Rust and pot.

    4. sarahlizzy cracks me up, too. When is next year's British Invasion going on? Wanna share a canyon, a pint, or both!

Rust and pot, Kev??? I heard we outsourced that to Prince George...

Don't have dates for next year yet, but it's almost certainly happening. Pints are v. good - I developed quite a taste for that Evolution Ale!

Also, air that's not constantly humid and full of grass pollen (I have allergies) is really welcome.

I do at least get to go climbing on limestone sea cliffs here though, so it has its consolations

This is true - most of the rusting and pot growth left in the Lower Mainland is purely amateur/recreational.

Look at you, Chris, in the field with internet!! Not bad.

Hell yes! Utah gets a bad rep 'cause of awkward liquor laws but there's some great local brew around and I'm glad to hear you found it! That evolution is tasty, did you have a chance to try the devastator?
