52 things you can do with your kids outdoors this summer
I am sure we can list at least 100 more here on Bogley!

1. Go on a hike
2. Visit Hogle Zoo
3. Draw chalk pictures on the sidewalk
4. Walk around an old cemetery
5. Go swimming
6. Make a collection of leaf or bark rubbings and then learn the names of the trees
7. Have a cookout
8. Weed a garden; mow a lawn — if not yours, maybe that of an elderly neighbor
9. Go to This Is the Place Heritage Park
10. Fly a kite or have a paper airplane flying contest
11. Play "night games," such as Hide 'N' Seek, No Bears Are Out Tonight, Steal the Bacon
12. Visit Red Butte Garden
13. Go to a garden store and pick out some favorite flowers to plant
14. Visit Ogden's Eccles Dinosaur Park
15. Go bird-watching; record some bird songs
16. Run through the sprinklers
17. Go on a picnic
18. Sleep under the stars in your own backyard
19. Learn about different kinds of clouds
20. Go for a walk
21. Put on your own neighborhood 'round-the-block parade
22. Go camping
23. Look for tracks and trails of animals
24. Make a nature trail in your own backyard using stones and branches and identify flora and fauna that inhabit it
25. Attend a festival
26. Learn all about wildflowers. Or butterflies. Or mushrooms
27. Put on a backyard mini-Olympics, where everyone chooses a country and competes in various games
28. Visit the gardens or the farm at Thanksgiving Point
29. Go to the roof plaza at the Salt Lake Main Library; see the new beehive; walk down the winding wall
30. Have a neighborhood concert or talent show in your backyard
31. Visit a canyon
32. Make mud pies, decorate them with leaves and grass and let them bake in the sun
33. Sit on a blanket under a tree and read a book
34. Keep a flower journal or a bug journal. Draw or take pictures of all you see this summer
35. Hike to Timpanogos Cave and learn about spelunking
36. Go to an outdoor concert
37. Find a river, pond or lake and study the habitat it provides
38. Visit the Tracy Aviary at Liberty Park
39. Go rock hounding
40. Play "old-fashioned" games like croquet, badminton, hopscotch and jump rope
41. Go to the farmers market
42. Visit Antelope Island
43. Do summer things at a winter place (like a ski resort); ride a lift; look at mountains
44. Set up a lemonade stand or bake and sell cookies; donate the money to a good cause
45. Visit the American West Heritage Center in Wellsville or Wheeler Farm in Salt Lake City
46. Take a garden tour at Temple Square
47. Play Outdoor Bingo. Give kids cards with things to check off and offer prizes
48. Visit Bear Lake
49. Throw a Frisbee or play Frisbee golf
50. Make a list of all the wild things in your backyard: bugs, plants, trees, etc.
51. Go to the Great Salt Lake
52. Use your imagination and think up more things to do outdoors

Nice list! I will forward this to my wife when my kids tell her "I'm bored". Actually they don't say that very often. They are usually put to work if they say that.
