Apparently, I broke TOS in all kinds of evil ways, because my account was deleted this morning. Truly, I have no idea why but one of their rules is "friending" people you don't actually know. Wuh....?!

No warning or explanation. Anybody know why this happens or what I can do about it? The idea that Big Brother can swoop down for some unknown reason and delete my entire persona is a bit troublesome.

That's strange. You shouldn't be disabled because you don't know some of your friends, it's called "networking".

Maybe you've got some enemies who falsely reported you. It's also possible that you accidentally temporarily disabled it. I'd be surprised if it were completely wiped out.

Did you get an email saying it had been deleted? A message when you tried to sign in? No kind of recourse shown or anything? So did it say that the "friending" people you don't know was the reason?!? Bizarre...

I tried to log on and received a message that my account had been disabled by Facebook. That if I had any questions, I could read their terms of service.

I never received a warning or anything. Just poof, it's gone.

What I don't understand is disabling my account, which is actually pretty lame because my mom reads my page, so I don't let anything get bad, but allowing others who say the damndest things (including white people WILL be wiped off the face of the earth because they're a global disease...etc. etc.) have no account disruptions. Weird.

You should be able to contact them. Your account may have been hacked and abused, or maybe you had some copyright stuff on there (experience talking), but reading their terms of service won't tell you anything, there's a lot of stuff in there.

I will say I did. and I know who reported me. But at least I got my point across and I no longer hear from the jerk!

what I think is important here is that facebook determined you are more of a threat to global security than the group called Draw Muhammad Day or the death of the president.

Be absolutely sure you are visiting facebook.com. Go to the URL field and type it all in from scratch (don't let the browser autocomplete it). I have a friend who recently got super excited because he was buying whitehouse.com. In reality, he bought vvhitehouse.com.
