OK, good counsel Tom. And thanks. I've decided to put it on my Fall schedule as a three-day.

    Can you see the bottom?

If that's an example of the only "error", then, not so bad!

Checked the Lava Point weather station...pretty cool up there in the a.m. Especially compared to the main Zion Canyon.

    Hmmm....
We did the RF direct via the Hammerhead on Sat and had a great time, despite the heat. We took wetsuits but never pulled them out of the bag. There was 1 swimmer in the direct and 5 or 6 chest high waders. The great alcove was nothing short of spectacular! The worst part of the entire hike was the biting flies in the lower third of the slog. They were flippin' EVIL! It took us 13 hours from Lava Pt.

One day, right? That's a pretty good time.

Yes, one day. We were pretty motivated to beat the heat, and once the killer flies started attacking.
