Easter Explorations
For Easter, Amanda and I spent our day exploring some new trails east of Moab that we had not been on before. Our first destination was the short but very scenic South Fork of Sevenmile Canyon.
Much of this trail was in a sandy wash
The further up the canyon we went, the rockier and narrower the trail got
This was a dead end trail, so once we reached the end we turned around and headed for our next destination, which would be the Taylor Rim trail.

Unfortunately, when we reached Canyonlands boundary, Amanda did not feel like hiking to Taylor Canyon Rim, and I didn't want to go alone, so instead we headed over to Beehive Butte. The hike will have to wait for another day.
Beehive Butte in the distance
From Beehive Butte we made our way over to the Mineral Bottom Road, where I took a left onto the Mineral Cutoff Road which took us to Hell Roaring Rim.
Tombstone Rock in the distance from the Hell Roaring Rim trail
An arch that I haven't found the name for (yet) near an intersection of the Hell Roaring Rim trail with the Mineral Point Road
Headed back to the highway on the Mineral Point Road
After reaching the highway again near Horsethief Campground, we ended up heading back home for the day.
On our way home, I pulled off UT-128 to take a nice picture of the new bumper I had installed the day before
It was a great way to spend Easter!
