    Hi Yvonne
    Thanks
I think it was probably for the best to move the road closure back, this area is too cool to ruin.
I've spent several days hiking and photographing in here, I think I could spend a week and still find new things.
I've hiked out from this area quite a ways and there are fascinating formations literally for miles.
I won't broadband this area as I think it is "that" special.

I agree, it was the only way to protect the fragile area. In 2007 there were many tracks caused by quads and dirt bikes and they were nearly everywhere.
The old camping area was more convenient with lot of space outside the wash. I'm missing that part a little bit

that's what I thought. There is really a lot to see and to discover. I think I should plan another trip to the area in the further future.

There is something I wanna ask you: Did you see some of the white residue between the sandstone formations? Last June there was nothing to see of it but back in December I saw a lot of it. Looked like some kind of minerals that were washed out of the sandstone and visible everywhere.
