Black Mountains/Cathedral Peaks in Lake Mead NRA
been a very wet year so far here in vegas and it has made for a lot of very nice lighting for hikes. as well as a very green mojave. saw a couple of good sized rams on this hike w/ big horns. neat.
the wash i used to get in n out of the broken land between cleopatra wash and the cathedral peaks
one of teh trickling washes i hopped to n from
cathedral peaks from pt. 808
and one of a ram
and one of a sunlit bitter ridge while the western muddys hide in clouds

it is a great time to be hiking here. the dogwood (i think ?) trees were in full bloom a couple weeks ago or more and are now just green & we've had the heater off most of the time for about 2 weeks now. but there is a lot of snow in the higher mountains from all teh moisture that has moved thru.signature
