Bought a new Fezzari Signal Peak. Took Iceaxe's bike for a joyride and liked it so much I needed one
Just 'cause it zips, don't mean it fits

Nothing will make me happier than the day she can pedal me into the ground. But she better bring plenty of water and a sack lunch because it's going to be a long day... hahaha...

Haha, good point! I'd say it's to show all the ebike hater's that it really is just a bike, but I don't get caught up in all that and I just try to respectfully ride and share the trails with everyone.

But the real reason is when riding with my young kids it really pointless to use the battery.

That's a very nice bike, Rich. Looks like a 140 up front? You guys got anything rough enough for that fork in flat 'ole Florida? When I was a kid, I lived in Pensacola and near Jacksonville for a while...did a lot of camping but don't remember too many hills. Was stationed near Key West back in '83 when I did a stint in the Navy.

Iv'e got three bikes. A '92 KHS "Monatana" from back in the day. This '14 Trek Superfly and a '15 Yeti SB6 for the rough stuff. I just love this Trek...it's an absolutely fantastic trail bike. 100mm up front but I actually bomb down Capt. Ahab in Moab on this thing. It's an aluminum bike, kinda heavy (29lbs) but I hardly notice the weight.

I'm all jacked up to upgrade to a Yeti SB100. It's a 25-26lb carbon bike with a 120 up front. I might get hurt on that damn thing but I want it anyway. I want to demo one before I buy (they're expensive) $5500 new and around $4000 used...but no one has them in the demo fleets right now. Not even in Moab. Everybody buys bikes with 130, 140 or 160s up front. I like to ride fast and move quickly uphill and these less squishy bikes do that wonderfully. A 140 is probably a great "one quiver" bike but when you can afford two, a squishy and a not so squishy is the way to go, IMO.

If you ever make your way to Utah, hit me up. I'm familiar with damn near everything south of I-70. I'm a really good rider but not one of those psycho's that'll get you hurt riding with.

We have some nice bike parks with some excellent features that the long travel really helps with (Alafia, Santos), but my wife and I ride all over. We have ridden Sedona, Red Canyon Utah, Moab, and North Carolina. I like to have a bike that I can take anywhere and works on any trail.
I built up a KHS back in the day and still have it. Its an awesome bike. Bulletproof.
We definitely love riding in Utah; night have to hit you up on our next road trip. Been eyeing some stuff near St. George I think it is.

St. George is very similar to Moab...the only thing lacking there is an epic like Porcupine Rim. There is tons of excellent riding around that town...Gooseberry Mesa (and a couple other mesa's adjacent to it) are probably most famous. The town is close by with everything you need without the heavy traffic of Moab. Most people rate St. George "below" Moab, but personally I'd say they're on equal footing...with Dixie only missing that big 25+ mile downhill run.

I actually "bugged out" up on Gooseberry for three weeks in April. Camped and rode my bike everyday. It was awesome...only one night of rain the whole time and sparse crowds...although it did get busy on the weekends. One guy got himself killed when he rode his bike off the edge of a cliff...I probably waved at him as he rode by my camp. Within an hour he was dead. Kinda creepy. I think that one is detailed in the "Broke outta quarantine" thread.

Indeed, contact me if you head that direction...I know all the best rides.
