Wow, scary is right! Though apparently not scary enough to get off the cell phone... I love the woman on the right running away, after the fire is pretty much out.

Rubbing your ass on the seat getting in and out of your car will build up static electricity. Then when you get out and ground yourself by touching the pump handle the static arc will ignite the fumes from the gasoline. All the conditioning have to be near perfect for it to happen, but women are statistically way more likely to have it happen to them because they are way more likely to get back in the car while pumping and they have no clue about electricity.
Myth Busters did a great episode about static car fires a couple years back..
