I'm gonna bump this thread - as it is only three weeks away. So far, we have 12 committed people.
I have researched other TRs and have a good plan of attack.
We will have some extra time on our hands and we have decided to take a tour to Hoover Dam. Is the powerplant tour ($11) or the hoover dam tour ($30) better? And how long does each one last?
Also, just in case it's not there, I am hauling a rope swing down to Mooney (or where ever there is a good spot) and how long of a rope would be sufficient?
And last, people where mentioning about a sketchy climb to Mooney. Any details about this or pictures?
Edit: And what are the bugs like? Billions upon Billions of Mosquitoes? Knats, Flies. I don't believe anyone mentioned bug repellent, so it's probably not a big issue then?

It's a climb down to Mooney Falls. Not too bad though, there are ropes, chains and ladders the whole way.

I did Moody Falls with a broken elbow. I had broken it about three weeks before our trip - just took the arm out of the sling and I was OK.

Some friends and I did the cheaper power plant tour over new years this year and enjoyed it. Definitely worth the $11. I think it probably took about 30-40 minutes. Very cool walking around in the tunnels with the water dripping in. Just like the scene from National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation... bring lots of gum.
