Any Real Estate/Mortgage people here?
Here is my dilemma: Looking to get out of our town home that we are renting right now and buy our first home this year. The big obstacle we have run into after making some calls to some lenders today to get pre-approved is that I flat out don't qualify for one reason. My income history isn't long enough. I just started a new business, so I don't have any income history. I have around 40k to put into a down payment and my credit score is 784, but the one guy we talked to today said no way no how with out 2 years of steady employment. Anybody know any way around this BS? I even asked the guy if I would qualify if we dropped 100k on a down payment and he still said no. Wish there was a way around it cause I am hating the idea of spending another 2 years in this cramped place
