St George - Red Cliffs Reserve

Went out to Red Cliffs with Kurt and the girls on Saturday. Had a great hike and saw some beautiful scenery. I'd done this hike in 2008 and there was no real trail. It's now cairned but there are a couple of places that you'll need to pay attention. This starts from the TH in Hurricane that you access from going under I-15 by the Winkel Bev Dist., off Old 91.

Hike in was about 2.5 miles and then we explored a bit. Kurt had marked a close by canyon and did find it.

We never have snow in STG. But if you look in the background you can see Pine Mountian has a bit.

Great place! There's so much to see in there. I like to park under the
I-15 bridge and walk 1/2 mile north on the pine mtn side of I-15 and drop into Spanish Wash from the freeway and head due north for a couple miles.
Then, hook up with the area you were in and go out where you parked.
Takes two vehicles. But, it makes for a longer hike where I can explore a whole lot and not have to back track. Sure beats walking the Spanish wash trail along the interstate.....boring.

Great pictures! nice stuff! There's a place loaded with moki marbles
    down that way.

Very nice pictures. I like the pictures with the mountains in the background covered in snow.
