Right near the beginning of the trail when it first starts going downhill? Looks like the same spot my brother bailed at the 2nd time he rode it with me.

Yeah, it looked a little sketchy but we were all feeling a little over confident. If you look close, you can see me about to follow Mark up top, but then I skidded to a stop when I saw him go down.

Let's back up a minute.... :-) Was he OK? (obviously able to get up, no damage??) Was the bike OK???

I have never seen a broken kona yet. I have a bad habit of accidentally leading people down drops or bad lines. The kona probably would have made it, if it had been steered to stay on the trail. It definitely was a bad line, you can see me grab the rear brake to keep my rear wheel on the trail or otherwise I also would have headed down the same path.
