GoPro HD test footage - my neighbor's "dog"
Was driving home and playing with the GoPro HeroHD helmutcam, and saw my neighbor's "dog" in his yard. At least he said it was his dog.
It was terrible shooting conditions. Almost sunset, really dark, cloudy, snowstorm moving in, so considering that I thought the camera did a pretty good job. I tried to keep the YouTube compression to a minimum, but the original picture was real crisp, almost no digital artifacts, good dynamic range for the conditions.
Shot in the 120 degree 1080p mode, so not as wide as you could shoot.
It was hard centering the shot with no viewfinder despite the ultra wide angle. I thought it would be easier. Also, I was only a few feet from the "dog" but the wide angle makes it look a lot further. Not nearly as fisheyed as I thought it would be.
Not stellar footage, but since some of your are looking at the GoPro to purchase I thought you would be interested. Overall, not bad for a cheap helmut cam.
A couple of the "dogs" in the background were having one of the most disinterested jousting matchs I've ever seen.
