Black hole 1/1/10 Fundraiser

The 8th annual New Year's Day Black Hole descent will be sponsored this year, with the intent to raise money for those determined defenders of the wilderness. Mom! Well maybe not your mom, but they are somebodies mom. The Great Old Broads for Wilderness

Mom taught you to do the right thing, correct??

If anyone planning to descend the Black Hole with us on January 1st, doesn't want their presence included in the final tally of participants, e-mail me and I will ensure that the wish is honored. I will tell your mom though! ;-)

I think so. She is renting a dry suit and she put herself out there in that mailing!! She is at retirement age and she can still put many half her age to shame.

Twenty two is the count, and the number of the counting is twenty two. Far lower than I expected (darn weather), so I doubled my pledge. I know you wanna do the same, yes?

The figures are in. Ronni and the Broads would like to send their thanks for the
wonderful support and to remind all that the money will goes toward....
"Please assure them that we're working hard to preserve our (and their) glorious
canyons!"

Funny you should ask Ram. We JUST totaled up the donations, and they came to
just under $2500! Wowee! This has been one of our best fund raisers to date!

We got a note from Aron Ralston saying the photos looked like y'all should have
had on avalanche beacons under your dry suits!

I promise I'll make it next year.
