Liberty Bell, Concord and Lexington Towers
Missed posting this the first time around. While the glaciated peaks to the west were in storm, we headed east to the edge of the dry side, this last July. We set out to do 5 towers in one day, in Washington Pass, in the Cascades. After 1,600 vertical foot approach, we waited out a rain and some rock drying time. Up the Bell via 3 pitches up to 5.7. Then rapped off. Up Concord, 3 pitches of wet and greasy 5.6. Two hundred foot rap off the back and up Lexington via 2 pitches of 5.7, the a two hundred foot rap off the backside again. As we approached the final two towers, North and South Early Winter Spires, the skies let loose. We hid under overhangs again, but it was not to be. Three towers would have to do.
