Downloaded it today...going to install it here shortly.
Though, I've never used Lightroom before, so I really can't compare this version to previous ones....been using Photoshop CS4 alone.....but been wanting to try out Lightroom

I use Photoshop and Bridge at work every day, and most days at home, and when I downloaded the trial version of Lightroom, it seemed pretty alien to me. I have heard great things about it, but so far I keep running home to what I know.

I use Aperture and Lightroom 2. I find that Lightroom 2 is more intuitive so I imagine Lightroom 3 is probably pretty nice.

LR is made for photos, Sure you can edit in CS4 but the work flow is much better the LR.
So far liking LR3 less of a memory footprint and for the most part everything seems faster. I am getting some sort of image buffer lag every few min... but still faster then LR2 on both boxes that I have installed it on. Love the meta-tags on import.. not really a time saver but nice to have.

I have yet to test it with LR3 but the photomatix Lightoom plugin is pretty awesome. Make adjustments.. right click your files, send to Photomatix, tone map, click process, and your tiff is right back in LR to edit.

I've downloaded it and am trying to decide if it's worth my time to learn it. For my "serious" work, I do mostly local adjustments with layers and masks. Which it kind of sounds like Lightroom is not about. I know it's supposed to be a great catalog and organizing tool, but I'm not sure I want to spend $250 or whatever it is when Picasa will do that for free.
