    Canyoneering/desert withdrawals

Yeah, having explored more then 30-40 canyons in the Swell, Robbers Roost, Escalante, Cedar Mesa, North Wash Area for more then 5 years, I no longer have my canyoneering buddy to explore with. SO how does one go about looking for new trips, and new canyoneering buds? should I just go hang out there and wait for one you to include me? Is there a forum where I can meet some new friends? Canyoneering isn't exactly the kind of sport you meet lots of folks...
Yeah- I love it as much as kayaking...

Welcome to Bogley!!!! It will be quiet around here this weekend as most are out and about. There will be new pictures to view - everyone loves pictures.

Go over to the Canyoneering thread and post a hello, where you are from, etc. There is a get together in Moab in early November - the thread is at the top of the list in the Canyoneering section.

Somewhere around here that is directions on how to post your pictures and not make them so big.

    Chat soon!!

    Hey, sara.bob1,

Welcome! I'm sure you'll find folks here to hit the canyons with. I come down to Utah a couple times a year from Vancouver, and I've been hitting up folks here for partners and it works great!

Love that little rappel. Very cool spot.

Here's a smaller version, so we can see the whole photo in one shot. (Don't let the Emperor see it, though...) :

What happened to your canyoneering buddy? Faulty anchor?

    Welcome to Bogley.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.
