Zion tunnel closed for 3 hours 8-26 for tunnel walk

I just caught wind of this. They are planning on closing the long tunnel at Zion for a tunnel walk, it is part of the 100 year aniversary stuff. They said that they are not closing the canyons at all but parking will not be allowed at tunnel east, either of the two lots, after noon. Something to do with shuttles turning around. Also that the road will close at 5:00pm untill 8:00pm and there will be no cars allowed through the tunnel. I think that the road is closed between the east entrance and canyon junction for the three hours. It does sound like if you get out of the canyon during the closure at the switchbacks you can still drive home toward the visitor center, just not towards the tunnel and if your car is on the other side of the tunnel you may not be able to get it until the road opens at 8:00pm.
