Orderville Conditions
Planning on doing Orderville Aug 17th, would we need wetsuits? Last time we did Orderville was Halloween last year and we used them, but it was alot cooler then too and I wasn't sure on the water level right now.
Also, does anyone know the status of the El Rio Lodge in Springdale? Phone and email are down, is the place still open?
Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't think so. Depends on the outside temps. If you get cold easily it would help you be more comfy on the few swims that are in there. My advice is wear quick drying clothes and start early so the water is in the hot part of the day.
The man thong is wrong.

Most people are not going to use a wetsuit right now for orderville unless you get cold really easy. It does help to get an early start like was said earlier. You could also pack a dry fleece or something for the hike out after the narrows jct. I think that the el rio was going to be turned into a grocery store. I'm not sure how it is going but julie & max from sol foods own it so you could try and call sol foods to ask them.

Yeah, I think we'll be fine without wetsuits this time. Thanks for the info on the El Rio too, guess we will go ahead and camp!
Thanks again!
