    Ibantic Lake

I would like to know if anyone has ever backpacked up to Ibantic Lake??

I've heard it's a fairly easy hike, so I want to talk my 7 & 5 year olds along. Is the fishing any good?

I tried searching for Ibantic Lake, but I couldn't find any posts about it.

    Thanks in advance!

I took a trip out there august of last year. Great place. Tons of lakes right in that same area. Fishing was good. Friend caught 2 fish and a 3rd got away.

I have a short write up and some photos already posted on my message board:

The view off of Notch pass is worth it. I have never camped at Ibantik Lake, but have fished it - I wasn't lucky enough that day, but was lucky at Meadow Lake - just down the trail. Ibantik would be a good place to camp. The overall area is pretty crowded, but the crowds thin out as you go over the pass.
Biking, Hiking, and Fishing are life. Everything else is just fluff.

Ibantik is definitely a winner (spelled Ibantik BTW). I've been there a few times over the years.

From the west side of Notch mountain; Ibantik is the lake to the right.
