Don't worry JP, I realize that my opinions have no effect on you guys.

Go post pics and videos of you driving a closed route in the 4x4 forum and watch the shit fly. A few years back someone even flipped me shit for riding my Mtn. bike on a muddy trail.
You all need to calm down and take your own advice and just ignore the posts that you don't like.

Now you know why I have put high power scopes and bipods on all of my varmint rifles. It definitely increases your hit ratio.

Hmm kinda torn on this one.. On one hand I'm happy to see some new material in the hunting section. Thats' really good to see. On the other hand, doesn't look like much sport and just killing for the sake of killing. But I guess if they are technically pests, then this could be called challenging target practice? And that is pretty fun I have to admit. Then to top it off, you cooked a couple up, which is more than people do for Jackrabbits and other rodent type hunts.
So I'm gonna say "Keep on rockin bro" and give ya a thumbs up for keeping the hunting forum alive. If anything that should be encouraged.
Your safety is not my responsibility.

I hear ya man. At the end of the day, when you understand that certain creatures are pests and that this is a method of control, it's easy to accept.
For those who aren't familiar with the game control methods, this will seem like a mindless slaughter. There's a method. This certain species were hunted on this day. The boys drove to this location for this specific animal. This is hunting.
Hunting isn't defined by eating the kill, or else the phrase "Hunting For Food" would be redundant. There's hunting, and then there's hunting for food.
Fish 'n Game regulates the population hunted species. There is no regulation on Pot Guts or Jack Rabbits because there's too many of them. THEY WANT PEOPLE TO SHOOT THEM. When/If this changes, there will be limits and restrictions. No restrictions means PLEASE KILL THESE ANIMALS so we don't have to spend government money to do it.
There are people working 8-10 hours a day studying these statistics, patterns, population growths.... I guess that just gives me the peace of mind that I can worry about my own stuff, because there are people like this actively protecting the animal environment.

You must be right, because in the past our fish and game and federal government has made SO many good decisions about wildlife mgmt.

"It drives us nuts," said John Evans, director of golf at the Cedar City-run course where prairie dogs have infiltrated 13 of 18 holes and the driving range. "They used to let us just shoot 'em."In the 1920s there were about 95,000 Utah prairie dogs, according to rough estimates. But aggressive campaigns to eradicate them and their burrows from farms, ranches and other lands put a deep dent in the population. By the early 1970s, there were only about 3,000 left, according to federal estimates.
The population has been holding steady at about 10,000 over the last decade."We really want to get people to understand, they're a keystone species," Schwager said. "They're a good thing to keep around."
oh - don't come back with the "utah prairie dogs aren't black-tailed, gunnison, etc". I know that. The animals serve the same purpose, and they are only a pest due to the poor management of our range lands.Tear down Dams, Build up Dreams!

Wow, how did I miss this thread? Looks like a bitchin slaughter to me. I will call it as it rightfully should be: blood-lust sport killing. Hella fun for those of us with small penises and I condone it because it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and for a small moment i can forget that i have a small penis
Oh ya, and fouristhenewone gets the "douche canoe" title for this thread. Time for me to step down and hand over the crown from the 4X4 forum to the hunting forum
