Tips on selling an iphone 3G
Yup, finally getting MMS pics later this year, the good news it that it won't cost extra and will be part of the existing data plan. However, tethering is something AT&T will no doubt ream for....
I'm actually listing my three week old 3G iPhone on KSL right now, if anyone is interested in a pristine no-contract iPhone.
* EDIT: If the first paragraph seems like a non-sequitur, it's because this post was split off from the iPhone 3.0 software thread.

Yeah James. If I can sell the 3G it will help me buy the 3Gs. I'm a sucker for shiny things, and I really want the video feature.
My phone was replaced three weeks ago under AppleCare, so it's in perfect condition to sell.

If anyone has advice or tips for selling on KSL I'd be open to it.
I've had two sincere inquiries and this:
Hi i have a number of things id like to trade for your 3g.
I have a tmobile g1, a modded psp (download games for free) w/3 umd games, nintendo ds 2 games, and a Xbox 360 w/5 games 2 controllers
I can trade 2 of the smaller things for it or add 100 cash to 1 of them. Maybe some cash with the xbox let me know if your interested.

Just throw it on KSL and like a moth to a flame - the dumb kids will buy it. I should know - my 17 year old blew $400 on one - the guy he bought it from claimed poverty and wouldn't go below $400. So my kid bought it. Then him and his friend were at the Apple Store at the Gateway and saw the guy buying a new iPhone

I listed it a few days ago and had a string of, um, interesting people.
I really didn't want to use eBay, so I loweredthe price to $370 at noon today and relisted it with new photos. I had 5 calls in 15 minutes. Two low ballers offering $325 (um, hello, already down from $425?), and two serious guys.
I met the first one and he had misread the ad orconfused it with another. Herhought my phone still had the shipping plastic on it. It didn't, so no deal.
Second guy was awesome. No weirdness. I must have had it priced right.
Typing this on my new 3GS from club Elevate right now waiting for the MMA fights to start.

I finally have new iPhone's ordered for my wife and I. Now I am looking at 10-14 days. This was after failing on apple.com last week and on Monday at the AT&T store due to system outages. Apple certainly knows how to create consumer buzz. Take notes Microsoft...
