    Monsoon Season?

Heres a link to track the start of the "official" Monsoon Season. It requires 3 consecutive days with the dew point above 55* at Phoenix Sky Harbor, Seems like it's been here for several weeks already, but not officially.

Interesting. After growing up in Az., the monsoons always signaled the most uncomfortable part of the summer. But the lightning storms are great.

As for the data -- are you seeing something I'm not? The red line is the historical, and this year is appears that we have been under the historical average for all but one day of the summer. Just curious how you are reading these data.

To me the data suggests we are not yet in the Monsoon Season.

Got it -- for whatever reason I thought you were pointing out it had started. My bad.

Just the same, I bookmarked that webpage. It is pretty interesting.

    Thanks for posting it.

While it hasn't offically started it sure feels like it has with the constant afternoon thunderstorms lately.

No problem, I just enjoyed observing it last year and thought others might want to observe. Especially in the way it affects canyoneers.

One weather station here announced it starts Mon. Weather has been great here, cloudy and in the 90's instead of 100's.
