    a great canyon complex beyond teh canyoneering op's. has some nice springs for reliable water year round and swimming.

    where is this? a quick google search points me to North Wash and Kelsey's book says the same...but it doesn't look like North wash area from your pics. Never heard of it.

    thx. its a cool area. stair canyon is SUPER nice, no pics unfortunately. was kinda spooky in the muted light w/ all the big but low growing and gnarled cottonwoods and riparian corridor in the bottom and all the solution holes in the canyon walls.

    this is along north wash. 3 forks is just south a bit of the sandthrax megaplex campsite, and is where stair and butler canyons converge w/ north wash.

    That pool is bigger and deeper than it appears. I was impressed when I hiked past it a couple of months ago. I thought it would be a great swimming hole in the summer. It is about a mile from the road???? Yes it is just between Sandthrax and Hog Springs, north side of the road. Big drainage that leads to a bunch of cool slots. It is a long hike from the top, I know, I sorta got in the wrong drainage and ended up hiking all the way to the road, hence the reason I know about this pool.
