Muddy Creek Rock Art- Trip Report

Today we started out towards quitchupah again but it was too muddy so we turned around and went to Muddy Creek Site (no pun intended go away from the mud to muddy creek ) ANYWAY, We passed sites we had already seen and looked for more, nope. But we decided to climb to some of these. Laugh really hard now because you'll see my idiocy. First.... I climb through brush with shorts big tall brush too. If that wasn't enough ammusement for you, I climb this rock oh guess what SURPRISE only one hand hold. So I grab that handhold pull all my weight on it and climb up the 10 foot wall like i am repelling and roll over my hand in the dirt and brush. The best part is the sandstone to get close to the panel was so slick i didn't even get there. So i jump off the ten foot wall (faster) and back through ALL the brush. If you still are not laughing at me here's more!! I climb up to a petroglyph panel and around up a steep hill to get to some rock art. The rock art is up high so I climb up a ledge by sliding in a foot wide crack with big rocks in it shaved my hair with the skin doing that. Then grab a small dead tree branch to help me up the next ledge. After hiking about a half mile IN THE RAIN i realize i am on the wrong ledge so i drop back down. I walk along and there is a huge rock stuck on the ledge so i sit and prepare to simply slide down but there was no way back up so i attempt to make my way back up and slip and fall 6 feet to the ground and luckily didn't fall off the edge another 40 feet. The funny part is I had some family with so when they saw me slide they didn't know it was a 6 foot drop instead of a 40 so they thought i died ha ha. Well since i was down i might as well made something of it and of course it was too small of a ledge to get to so all of that pain for nothing (still raining). And on our way back lets say it wasn't as easy getting down that crack then it was up. Tore more flesh off my legs and got to the truck. Ha ha talk about bad luck , here's some photos.

See the blue dot in the LEFT hand corner that's where i would've landed :D. If i had slid off the other edge

Still didn't get up top, eh? I'll make it up there someday. The dots on the rock are pretty interesting.
