    2X Converters

Do 2X converters work or are they the poor man's way to get more magnification out of your lenses?

I think the answer is both. They are the poor mans version of a long lens but they work quite well.

Are you planning on using this with your 18-55mm?

Probably not---I also have a 55-250mm, I was hoping I might get up close and personal with that.

So did you get a kit with two lenses?

In march I sold my 18-55 and purchased this Sigma 18-200mm. The image quality is MUCH better with the sigma, the only regret I have is that I waited so long to pick it up.

    Good (expensive) teleconverters = good.
Bad (cheap) teleconverters = might as well use your cell phone.

I'm not sure the Canon TCs will work with that lens. Here's a link to some info on Canon and Sigma TCs.
